If there was ever any question that Britian's Labour government was working hand and hand with muslims to Islamicize Great Brtain than the below story should eliminate any doubts you may have had.
Or has the phrase "Give them an inch.. and they'll take a mile" ever been more appropriately used then when telling about how Labour Party muslims, sitting on London's Towel Hamlets council a ("muslim rich" area), with the blessing of the Labour gov't bigwigs, have told all the NON MUSLIMS on the board that they MUST observe Ramadan and it's Islamic rules.
You read right - a memo was sent out by council leader, Lutfur Rahman and his deputy, Siraj Islam, telling ALL councillors that during the period of Ramadan the following should occur:
1) All meetings will be kept at a minimum to accomodate the fasting councillors.
2) Council bosses have also ordered that the town hall's business agenda should be reduced, with only seven scheduled committee meetings for the entire month, to deal with the Ramadan restrictions.
3) They urge all other councillors to resist eating until the breaking of the fast at sunset.
4) Council meetings normally start at 6:30 so with sunset due to fall just after 7.30pm at the beginning of September and around 6.30pm by the end of Ramadan, the breaking of the fast will take place during meetings. At that time here will be 45-minute adjournments to allow members to eat and pray, council leaders have ordered.
4) Normally tea, coffee and sandwiches are set aside for councillors to eat during evening meetings. But during Ramadan these will be reduced and complemented by special Muslim food packs containing chicken, lamb and vegetarian snacks.
5) But in an email, (Dhimmi) John Williams, the council's head of democratic (a misnomer if I ever heard one) services, said: 'It is requested that members do not partake of any refreshments until after the Iftar refreshments are served.'
Liberal Democrat leader, Stephanie Eaton, has voiced a concern that the Ramadan rules "Send the wrong message".
Actually Mrs. Eaton the muslim's are sending you and the other non muslims on the Council EXACTLY what muslims think is the right message -
Clearly this is an intentional, overt act of muslim superiority and dominance over the non-muslim Councillors -- an act that has the blessing of the Labour government.
Such outrageous Islamization actions should be immediately be condemned and stopped. One can imagine if a Jewish or other religious group tried to do the same. At a minimum non-muslim councillors should REFUSE to follow RELIGIOUS rules set down for them to obey and if that sees no change they should call for a boycott of all Ramadan meetings if such rules are not eliminated.
I wonder when the muslim leaders will start passing out prayer mats, burkas and Qurans to ALL Tower Hamlets Muslimified Councillors? Somehow that seems to be heading towards more truth than jest.
This is only the "tip of the iceberg" and the British people can expect more and more of the same unless they put a stop to Islamization.

Well, I don't understand where all this nonsense is coming from. I worked in Saudi Arabia for a good long time, and every Ramadan we - the Westerners - were given a room - perfectly comfortable , nothing silly like a broom cupboard or anything - to eat, drink and for those so inclined, to smoke as desired. Is Tower Hamlets trying to be more Muslim than Saudi Arabia ? My point is, I went to work in Saudi Arabia of my own free will. I was treated with a decent level of respect. But I could not, nor did I want to change anything there. However, these Tower Hamlets muslims came to the UK of their own free will. Now THEY are demanding we change. Not on. But my fear
is that we can sit at our computers and rabbit on and on about how the more extreme muslims are taking over; but what are we actually DOING about it ?

We have to understand in this country that objecting to and stopping islamification is not racist. It is simply demanding that everyone of whatever race or creed accepts that we live in a free democratic society and that UK law applies to everyone.
When Enoch Powell made his "Rivers of Blood" speech all those years ago I was outraged. However, I think the Islamists could well bring his prediction about.
As these issues become clearer to the British public, and they will because the islamists won't know when to stop, there will be a backlash. We British have proved throughout history that we can only be pushed so far.
We have the power to bring them to heel without resorting to violence. Imagine what effect the simple act of boycotting all muslim run businesses would have?
I'm proud to be British and believe that despite all its faults this is the best country in the world to live in. We are the most welcoming of all countries when it comes immigrants and the least we should expect is that our laws and traditions are respected.
Cllr. Lutfur Rahman and his pals have insulted our country. Imagine what would have happened in Saudi Arabia if Christians or Jews tried to pull such a stunt over there.

Thats easy to say, considering there are still all white communities in America. yeah no fear of being bombed indiscriminatly there. Were a small country, yet we have concured huge parts of the world and you have the audacity to call us weak. It's not our fault the government is spreading Islam.

To say that the English (or Brits) are weak is an insult - although the greats of the past like Winston Churchill will be rolling in his grave at the moment.
We must remeber that the British had "arguably" the greatest Empire the world ever knew which only really fell due to the 2nd World War and all the deaths incurred. Yes the Americans amongst you will say "the US bailed us out - which is not 100% true, but we can be thankful that the US joined the war effort - even though it was only because they were attacked themselves mind....We must also remember that if the US hadn't joined the war effort and the British were defeated by the Nazis then the entire British Empire would be under Nazi control so generally around 4/5s of the world would be under Nazi rule - and THEN they would have EASILY taken the US".
This is why as an Englishman I believe that when our brothers in America were attacked on 9/11 (which we all know was the sign the Muslims were waiting for to truelly begin their 3rd major Jihad) we should be 100% supportitive of them as we cannot, MUST NOT, allow the Islamization of Europe or the US and we MUST be 100% supportitive of Israel.
Back on track though, MickR claims that the things that happen in the UK to appease the Muslims would never happen in the US?
Hmmmmm - right.
It IS happenening in the US just the same as it is everywhere else in the free world.

That's true. There is no way in hell that we Americans would cave to Islamists. I know this very well. We Americans are ready to fight anyone, in violent way if need be, who tries to infringe on our rights. Oh, how well I know this. Americans are very nice until someone pushes them. How well I know this. Nothing infuriates an American more than when someone tramples on their rights. "Give me liberty or give me death." So watch out you pushy Muslims!!!!

Well, Philip, I hope you're right. We - the western world in general - have gone way too far in accomodating these people. They've seen all our accomodation to them as our weakness, and are taking advantage of it full steam.
I don't know what's behind our own authorities' adulation of these people; it's as though they could do no wrong.

I am respectful of anyone's beliefs but by being respectful, i expect the same treatment. I am a gay 21yr old currently in Dubai and finding out alot about ramadan. They have to follow very strict rules during this time, and non-muslim living here have no choice but to respect those rules and our everyday life is forced to be severly distrupted in order to respect the muslim way of life. However, i am gay and the muslim world have no tollerence of even entertaining the idea of excepting my way of life!? I suppose being in their country there its a case of 'grining and bearing' it, however i dont see how they can demand that the brit's respect their rules when they are in England, when they have either very little or NO tolerance for ways of life that differ from islam.Stand your ground brits!
